Attempted House Burglary Reported In Manalapan
Manalapan police describe burglaries, thefts in a weekly crime report.
MANALAPAN, NJ — An attempt was made to break into a house on Overlook Way recently, police reported.
On Feb. 28, a Manalapan resident, 66, reported that a person unsuccessfully attempted to enter the house. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

- Feb. 29: A Manalapan resident, 28, reported that a person burglarized an unlocked motor vehicle that was parked at a Wilson Avenue residence and removed property valued at approximately $82. Patrol Officer Jean Marie Kaminski handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
- Feb. 28: A New York resident, 64, reported to police that that someone removed a license plate from a vehicle that was parked at a Woodward Road residence. Patrolman Brandon Rodrigues handled the report.
- March 5: Employees of QuickChek, 270 Monmouth Road in Manalapan, reported that someone stole $71.04 worth of gasoline. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
- March 3: A Newark resident, 30, reported that a landlord unlawfully removed property, valued at approximately $10,000, from a Woodward Road residence. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report.
- Feb. 29: An employee of a construction company reported that someone stole property valued at $665 from a construction site on Sobechko Road. Patrolman Marshall Bitsko handled the report.
Several incidents of shoplifting were reported and are all being investigated:
- March 5: Employees of Best Buy, Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that a person shoplifted items valued at $1,159.93. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report.
- March 3: Employees of the Wegmans Supermarket, Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that a person shoplifted items valued at $227.09. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handled the report.
- March 3: Employees of the Wegmans Supermarket, Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that a person shoplifted items valued at $349.86. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handled the report.
- March 3: Employees of Homesense, Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that two unknown people shoplifted items valued at $249.99. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handled the report.
- March 1: Employees of Home Goods, Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that two people shoplifted items valued at $1,395.91. Patrolman Marshall Bitsko handled the report.
- March 1: Employees of Homesense, Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that a person shoplifted items valued at $1,334.92. Patrolman Marshall Bitsko handled the report.
