Burglars Try To Enter Manalapan House By Garage Door Window
Manalapan police report on an attempted burglary, other thefts and frauds in a weekly Police Department report.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Two people tried to burglarize a Wyndham Lane residence, police here reported.
On Aug. 14, the resident of the home told police that two unknown persons unsuccessfully tried to break into the house through a garage door window. Patrol Officer Valerie Vacchiano handled the report.

- On Aug. 14, a Freehold resident, 19, reported being robbed of $200 in cash by an unknown person while at the Thompson Grove Park, 220 Thompson Grove Road in Manalapan. Patrolman Peter Pagano handled the report.
- On Aug, 15, a resident, 73, told Manalapan police that someone removed a cell phone, valued at $700, from the NetCost Market, 700 Tennent Road in Manalapan. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.
There were also incidents of fraud and theft reported by police:
- On Aug. 15, a resident, 36, told police that an unknown person unlawfully opened a credit card account in the victim’s name and charged $1,506. Patrolman James Joiner handled the report.
- On Aug. 15, a resident, 28, told police that another resident had accessed a financial account and withdrew $1,200 without authorization. Patrolman Everett McNulty handled the report.
- On Aug. 9, a resident, 47, told police that an unknown person unlawfully withdrew $2,500 from a bank account. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report.
All of the matters are being investigated.
