Car Crash Kills 1, Injures Manalapan Man On Sunday
The Manalapan resident was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A man driving another car did not survive the crash, police said.
MANALAPAN, NJ — A car crash that killed a man in the early hours of Sunday also seriously injured another man from Manalapan, according to the Old Bridge Township Police.
A silver Nissan Versa, while traveling Texas Road westbound, failed to negotiate a sharp bend in the road and crossed into the eastbound lane, police said.
The Nissan then crashed head-on against a silver Hyundai Elantra, which a 21-year-old man from Manalapan was driving eastbound on Texas Road.

The Nissan rolled over and erupted in flames with the driver — a 39-year-old man from Monroe Township — trapped inside. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The driver of the Hyundai was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital with serious injuries.
