Car Stolen from Manalapan Townhouse Parking Lot: Police

Manalapan police report that a car was stolen recently from a parking space on Towne Drive.

MANALAPAN, NJ — A vehicle valued at $38,000 was stolen sometime on the night of Feb. 7 from Towne Drive, police here said.

On Feb. 8, a Manalapan resident, 58, reported the car theft to police.

The resident was parked between the hours of 6:30 p.m. Feb. 7 and 5:20 a.m. Feb. 8, during which time someone stole the vehicle, police said.

It was parked in the lot on Towne Drive. This is a residential townhome development near Tennent Road that is near (but sperate from) the Towne Point Shopping Center/Park and Ride, Deputy Chief Leonard Maltese explained.

Officer Hayden Hrymack handled the report. The matter is being investigated by police.
