Car Worth $109K Stolen In Manalapan: Police
Manalapan police said a Cornwallis Court resident reported their house was broken into, a key fob taken and the high-end car was stolen.
MANALAPAN, NJ — A resident's car worth $109,000 was stolen from their home recently after thieves broke into the house, police said.
In its weekly report of crime in the township, Manalapan police reported that the car theft was reported by the 68-year-old resident on Feb. 11.
The resident said thieves entered their Cornwallis Court residence and stole the car. Police said Monday it appears that the residence was entered through a window and a key was taken from inside the residence.

Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

- Feb. 12: A 38-year-old township resident was arrested for burglary after employees of the Pine Brook Golf Course, 1 Covered Bridge Boulevard, reported that someone had unlawfully entered a maintenance building on the property. After further investigation, a township resident was placed under arrest for burglary, processed by police and lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a future court date. Detective Joseph DeFilippis was the arresting officer.
- Feb. 10: A Long Branch resident, 66, reported that a purse and its contents, valued at approximately $800, was stolen while at the Englishtown Auction, 90 Wilson Ave. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report.
- Feb. 8: A Florida resident, 57, reported that their cellphone and wallet, valued at approximately $975, were stolen after being dropped in the parking lot of the Applebee’s Restaurant, located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan. Patrolman Abdoulaye Diagne handled the report.
