Catalytic Converter Theft Reported At Manalapan Pool Store
Manalapan police said a car parked at a pool store in town had its catalytic converter stolen; other thefts reported in township.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Motor vehicles continue to be targeted in crimes reported in the township last week:
- On Oct. 13, employees of Anthony and Sylvan Pools, 350 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that someone removed a catalytic converter, valued at approximately $1,000, from a motor vehicle parked on the property. Patrolman Peter Pagano handled the report.
- On. Oct. 16, a Manalapan resident, 28, told police that someone unlawfully entered a motor vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Wilson Avenue residence. Patrolman William Dutton handled the report.
Other thefts were reported as well:
- On Oct. 12, employees of Wegmans Supermarket, 55 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that someone attempted to shoplift approximately $1,788 worth of merchandise. Patrolman Thomas Butz handled the report.
- Also on Oct. 12, employees of Best Buy, 15 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that someone shoplifted an unspecified amount of electronic merchandise. Patrolman Butz handled the report.
- On Oct. 11, a Manalapan resident, 28, told police that someone used their credit card to make fraudulent purchases in the amount of $404.94. Patrolman Edward Burns handled the report.
All the matters are being investigated by police.
