MANALAPAN, NJ — Anticipating a heavy rainstorm later Tuesday and into Wednesday, Manalapan police are urging residents to follow certain safety measures.
Here is the latest advice from police:
- Do not attempt to cross flooded roadways.
- Do not approach downed power lines.
- If you must travel, use extreme caution.
- Secure any items outdoors that could potentially be damaged by the expected winds.
The Township Office of Emergency Management and Public Works Department are preparing for any weather issues, police said.

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) meteorologists are closely monitoring developing weather conditions and are prepared to activate its storm response and Incident Command System plans, if necessary.
