National Coffee with a Cop Day brings men and women in uniform together with their communities to connect in a casual setting. And many departments hold these gatherings at other times of the year, too. The national observance encourages communities to sponsor an event that will bring citizens and those on patrol together. The events provide an opportunity for open dialogue and to improve communication.
