Englishtown Man Identified as Sandy Hook 'Poacher,' Park Official Says
The Englishtown resident is now facing a federal court hearing April 6.

Englishtown, NJ - The man arrested for allegedly poaching deer in Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area has been identified as Englishtown resident Joseph Lista, park spokeswoman Daphne Yun tells Patch.
Lista was arrested Jan. 1 after park rangers heard that someone was leaving bait out in the park to attract deer. Lista admitted to hunting within Sandy Hook, which is illegal, after park rangers found a dead ten-point buck with an arrow wound, Yun said.
His case will be heard in federal court on April 6. Read the original story here. Poaching in a national park can merit fines of up to $10,000 and up to one year in prison.
