MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of fraud, assault, extortion and more from Dec. 11 through Dec. 16.

Dec. 11
A 57-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone tried to defraud them of $10,000 online.

A 60-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked at a Springhouse Circle home and stole items worth $1,828.16.

Dec. 12
A 45-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed by a neighbor.

A 60-year-old Manalapan resident and a 54-year-old Manalapan resident were engaged in a fight at Heritage Village, located at 216 Woodward Road in Manalapan, resulting in minor injuries.

An employee of the Verizon Wireless store located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan reported being threatened by a customer.

A 51-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone harassed and tried to extort $1,950 from them online.

Dec. 14
A 68-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone tried to fraudulently withdraw $89,420 from their bank account.

A 39-year-old Manalapan resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from someone they did not know.

A 40-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed by a neighbor.

Dec. 15
A 59-year-old Manalapan resident reported someone defrauding them of $5,316.20 online.

Dec. 16
Employees of Western Monmouth Utilities, located at 103 Pension Road in Manalapan, reported that someone tried to cash a fraudulent company check for $56,670.75.

Xing Liu, 53, of Marlboro, was arrested for selling a marijuana vaporizer to someone under the age of 21. Liu was brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued summons.

A 41-year-old Freehold resident reported that someone unlawfully accessed their cell phone account.
