Manalapan Police reported four incidents of fraud from June 11 through June 17:
MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported instances of fraud, attempted burglary, harassment and more from June 11 through June 17.
June 11
A 61-year-old Manalapan resident advised that they were deceived by someone they did not know after the unknown person(s) was able to transfer $5,000 from their personal bank account.
June 13
A Manalapan business reported that someone used a fraudulent email with the company president’s name to deceptively get an employee to buy five $200 Apple gift cards, resulting in a total loss of $2,000 to the business’s credit card account.

Two Ocean Township residents reported that a contractor fraudulently used their deposit for purposes unrelated to their project, in the amount of $65,014.
A Marlboro resident reported that a contractor fraudulently used their deposit for purposes unrelated to their project, in the amount of $37,250.

A 37-year-old Aberdeen resident reported ongoing workplace harassment at a business in Manalapan Township.
June 15
A 67-year-old Manalapan resident reported that their garage door appeared to be kicked twice. No entry was made to the garage.
June 16
At 1 a.m., a 38-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone tried to gain access to their home. It’s also believed that the person(s) gained access to their vehicle in an attempt to remove it from the driveway of their home. No monetary loss is reported at this time, and the vehicle was not removed from the home.
A 57-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone sent them threatening texts.
June 17
An 80-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they received a harassing letter from someone they did not know.
