Manalapan Police reported three incidents of fraud from Sept. 12 through Sept. 16.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of fraud, identity theft, assault and more from Sept. 12 through Sept. 16.
Sept. 12
A 50-year-old Marlboro resident reported that their Best Buy account was hacked into and that $552.30 of merchandise was purchased. The incident is pending further investigation.
Sept. 14
A 34-year-old Piscataway resident at the Manalapan Rec Center reported that they were assaulted while sitting in a parked vehicle. The incident is pending further investigation.

Sept. 15
A 67-year-old Manalapan resident reported a fraudulent transfer from their checking account for $2,000. The victim further reported that their bank denied reimbursing them.
A 46-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone believed to be an ex-tenant stole their purse and has been accessing various online accounts since July 31.

Sept. 16
A 51-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone fraudulently opened two separate credit cards in their name.
A 64-year-old Manalapan resident reported the theft of their pool saltwater generator.
An 88-year-old Manalapan resident gave out their social security number to what appeared to be a scam call from someone they did not know.
