MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of fraud, theft, simple assault and more from Feb. 12 through Feb. 18.

Feb. 12
A 45-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone fraudulently opened a credit card in the victim's name.

Feb. 13
A 33-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone fraudulently opened three bank accounts and credit cards using their personal information.

A 33-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown eBay seller shipped a package that contained no product.

A 56-year-old Manalapan resident reported a theft of a package worth approximately $119.

A 75-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone used their personal information to open a Verizon wireless account.

Feb. 15
A 44-year-old Manalapan resident said they received notice from Verizon that two Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max models were fraudulently purchased using their personal information from the Verizon store in Manalapan by someone they didn’t know.

A 19-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed by someone they knew. The victim was advised of the procedure to sign complaints in Manalapan Township Municipal Court.

Feb. 16
A 62-year-old Manalapan resident said they were defrauded by a tree service. The company collected a payment of $420 without rendering the service.

A 70-year-old Manalapan resident reported a theft of a cell phone and wallet worth $1,330 from their home by someone they knew.

Feb. 17
A 75-year-old Manalapan resident reported that people they did not know posed as TD Bank operators and got their bank information, resulting in the victim losing $8,100 from their bank account.

A 60-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone gained access to their email address and attempted to fraudulently use their ID to buy various items online.

Feb. 18
Patrols responded to Pension Road for a report of an assault. Once police arrived, they found a 61-year-old East Brunswick resident who had been assaulted, though the victim was not injured. It was reported that the resident was assaulted during a disagreement with an unnamed person.
