MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of harassment, burglary, fraud and more from July 23 through July 29.

July 23
A 64-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone they did not know tried to purchase $48.21 worth of kitchen cookware from QVC using their debit card. No further monetary loss was reported.

July 24
A 72-year-old Manalapan resident reported damage to their vehicle that had occurred sometime overnight. The vehicle’s passenger-side front window was broken, and spare change may have been removed.

July 25
A 62-year-old Manalapan resident reported receiving multiple harassing voicemails from a blocked number.

A 71-year-old Manalapan resident received a suspicious phone call from someone pretending to be from Chase Bank. The caller told the victim that someone had tried to open a credit card in their name and was asking for more information. The victim grew suspicious and did not give further information.

July 26
A 55-year-old Manalapan resident reported someone entering their unsecured/open garage and causing approximately $150 worth of property damage.

A 28-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they were receiving harassing text messages from several unknown numbers.

July 29
A 64-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone who had been staying at their home had stolen jewelry and medication valued at approximately $700.
