Land Rover Stolen From Property Of Manalapan Resident: Police

Police report the $90,000 SUV was taken from a home on Cornwallis Court in Manalapan on Oct. 11.

MANALAPAN, NJ — A 2022 Land Rover, valued at $90,000, was stolen recently from the home of a Manalapan resident, police here reported.

On Tuesday, Oct. 11, a Cornwallis Court resident called police to say his car was stolen between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. that day.

Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis took the report, which is pending further investigation.

The township also saw other attempted car thefts or attempted burglaries that same day, police reported.

On Oct. 11, a resident reported that his unlocked vehicle parked at his Winding Woods Way residence was entered during the overnight hours. No items were reported missing from the vehicle. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky took the report.

The same day, another resident reported that two people attempted to enter cars parked in the driveway of a Pease Road residence. No items were reported missing from the vehicles. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the report.

Police reminded residents to take their key fobs out of their vehicles and lock them.

Some other recent crimes reported by police include:

  • Fraud: On Oct. 10, a 75-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown person made an unauthorized transfer in the amount of $4,700.00 from the victim’s checking account. Patrolman Ryan Brady took the report.
  • Shoplifting/Fraud: On Oct. 10, employees of Homesense, 55 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that on Sept. 20 three unidentified actors shoplifted $924.97 worth of merchandise from the store. The same individuals attempted to return the merchandise but were denied. Patrolman Everett McNulty took the report.
  • Burglary: On Oct. 10, employees of Manalapan Music & Art, 100 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that during the overnight hours, someone forced entry to the business and removed items valued at approximately $13,000. Patrolman Hunter Mauro took the report.

All the matters are continuing to be investigated by police.
