Manalapan-Englishtown Regional Schools Seek To Fill Board Vacancy

MANALAPAN-ENGLISHTOWN, NJ — The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional Board of Education is seeking qualified candidates to fill a board vacancy, the district said Monday.

The term for the vacant board seat will run until Dec. 31, 2026, district officials said. At that time, the position will be put on the ballot for the November 2026 General Election.

To join the school board, applicants must be:

• A citizen of the United States of America
• At least 18 years of age
• Able to read and write
• A resident of the Manalapan Township municipality for at least one year preceding the date of appointment
• Not directly/indirectly involved in a contract with, or claim against, the board
• Registered to vote in the district
• Not disqualified as a voter pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:4-1
• Has not been disqualified due to the conviction of a crime or offense listed in N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1
• Applicants must be available for attendance at the Regular Action Meeting scheduled for Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wemrock Brook School. The Board of Education may conduct interviews in Executive Session before appointment.

Any qualified Manalapan Township resident interested in joining the board and serving the children of the school district should submit a letter of interest and personal resume to:

Letters of interest and accompanying personal resumes will be accepted until 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1. The Board of Education will review all qualifying applications.
