Manalapan Police Arrest Alleged Fugitive From Puerto Rico
Police reported that the man was a fugitive from justice out of Puerto Rico.

Manalapan police arrested an alleged fugitive from Puerto Rico on Tuesday, March 19. Johnny Diaz, 51, of Lakewood, had a warrant for his arrest out of Puerto Rico for theft and sale of a motor vehicle on September 30, 2011.
Ptl. Kyle Earley stopped Diaz while he was driving a Ford F150 on Route 9 in the vicinity of Route 522. Earley soon discovered that Diaz was a wanted person from Puerto Rico with full extradition and also had active traffic warrant out of Lakewood for $485, according to police.
Earley arrested Diaz and he was transported to the Manalapan Police Department where he was processed and posted bail on the traffic warrant.
Diaz has been charged with being a fugitive from justice and is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $75,000 bail.
