Manalapan Teacher, Monroe Resident Dies at 67

Karen Becker, 67, of Monroe Township died on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City.

Born in Brooklyn she lived in Manalapan before moving to Monroe Township. Mrs. Becker was an elementary school teacher for the Manalapan-Englishtown Board of Education for many years.

Surviving are her husband Irv Becker, a son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Amy Becker of Livingston a son Darrin Becker of Atlanta, GA.,her daughter Robyn Becker of North Brunswick, her two sisters Phyllis Finkelstein of Long Island, and Roberta Lutton of Pennsylvania and her three grandchildren Peri, Sydney and Reed.

Services will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave., Manalapan, N.J. on Wednesday Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery in Deans, N.J.
