Manalapan Township Fire Company Warns of New Scam

Officials are warning residents not to send money through any digital platform to those posing as the fire company.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Township officials are warning residents of scammers posing as the “Manalapan Fire Company.”

In an online post, Manalapan Township Fire Company 1 said they were recently made aware of the scam and are advising residents against transferring money to anyone posing as them.

The fire company said they do not accept any donations via Zelle, Venmo, or credit cards and only accept donations in the form of cash or check.

“If you have unknowingly sent money through any digital platform, please contact your bank immediately and report the incident to the Manalapan Township Police Department,” officials said.
