National Cheesecake Day, Kittens Up for Adoption

1. Weather: Today will be sunny with a high temperature around 81 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low temperature dropping to about 63.

2. Kittens: Diane Wagner posted an announcement on Patch about adorable kittens she has that need to find loving homes. According to the post, Wagner’s cat brought the kittens home with her when they were about one month old. The kittens are about 4-months-old now and are litter box trained. 3. National Cheesecake Day: Today, July 30, is National Cheesecake Day. The Cheesecake Factory is offering slices of cheesecake (any kind you want) for half price today! The restaurant will also be debuting their new S’more’s Cheesecake today too. The nearest Cheesecake Factory is located at the Freehold Raceway Mall.  

4. Free Info Session on Yoga Teacher Training: Tula Yoga in Aberdeen is having a free information session today on how to become a certified yoga teacher. Tula Yoga has partnered with Yoga Education Institute to offer a 200 Hour Teacher Training which is recognized by Yoga Alliance as a registered yoga teacher training program; the training begins Oct. 5, but there is a free info session tonight. A yoga class will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the info session will follow from 7:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Tula Yoga is located at 1208 Route 34, Suite 10 in Aberdeen. 5. Movie at the Library: The documentary “The Gatekeepers” will be playing at the Monmouth County Library today at 2 p.m. This film features interviews of surviving former heads of Shin Bet, the Israeli security agency whose activites and membership are closely held state secrets. The film is in English and Hebrew.
