New Manalapan Mayor Is Susan Cohen

MANALAPAN, NJ — The Manalapan township committee elected Susan Cohen as the new mayor during their reorganization meeting. She will be taking over committeeman Jack McNaboe.

Committeewoman Mary Ann Musich will be serving as deputy mayor in 2022.

Also during the meeting, Committeeman Barry Jacobson was sworn in for another three-year term, after beating Democratic challenger Bashir Mohammad in the last election.

Manalapan operates under the township form of municipal government. The only elected officials under the township form are the members of the township committee, who serve three-year terms and appoint a mayor and deputy mayor every year.
