Pole Down On Iron Ore Road, Residual Flooding In Malanapan

There appeared to be no injuries or reports of a tornado, but some effects from Ida were still being felt in town as of Thursday morning.

MANALAPAN — Although the Manalapan area made it through Tropical Storm Ida without suffering any major damages, a pole was down on Iron Ore Road and there was some residual flooding in parts of town as of Thursday morning, according to Manalapan Township Police Department.

Union Hill Road and also on Wilson Ave in the area of the Monroe Border were the two areas still affected by flooding on Thursday morning.

The pole that went down in the area of Indian Path is pending repair.

It appears that there were no injuries or reports of a tornado, police also said.

Other areas of the state did not fare so well. At least one person died and two others were missing in Passaic, as floodwaters from the Passaic River inundated part of the city.

In many towns, cars were trapped in flooded streets and there were multiple water rescues, according to reports.
