Police Arrest Maryland Man Driving Stolen Car in Manalapan
The vehicle had stolen Alabama license plates and an altered vehicle identification number.

Manalapan police arrested a Maryland man on Saturday, March 23 for allegedly being in possession of a stolen motor vehicle and changing the vehicle identification number.
Edwin Borzen, 33, of Hyattsville, Md., was driving a 2012 Audi A7 that was found to have stolen license plates from Alabama, according to an arrest report issued by the Manalapan Police Department.
The vehicle identification number was changed on the “A” pillar of the vehicle. The car reportedly belongs to P & H Auto Repairs of Hyattsville, police said. Borzen told police that his name was Lloyd Jones, but a fingerprint inquiry with the FBI revealed his true identity. A white powdery substance, believed to be ecstasy, was also located within the vehicle, the police report indicated.
Borzen was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property and two counts of altering an identification number on a motor vehicle, one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and one count of hindering apprehension.
Borzen is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $25,000 bail. His initial appearance in front of Judge James M. Newman is scheduled for Monday, April 1 at 9 a.m.
The passenger in the vehicle, Moustapha Dore, 29, of Philadelphia, Pa., was found to be in possession of a small brown cube believed to be amphetamines, according to police.

Dore was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, two counts of altering the vehicle identification number, and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Dore was also remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute on $25,000 bail.
