Police: Manalapan Woman Hits Police Car While Intoxicated

The woman was issued four traffic summonses, including driving while intoxicated.

A local woman was arrested after striking a Manalapan police vehicle and driving away; an investigation revealed that the woman was intoxicated at the time, according to police.

The 46-year-old Manalapan woman, identified as Kim Wisk, hit Manalapan Ptl. Philip Accatatta’s marked police vehicle while he was conducting a motor vehicle stop on Tennent Road, just north of Woodland Circle, on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 9:27 p.m.

Accatatta was sitting in the police vehicle with his overhead emergency lights activated when a silver 2008 Ford Fusion driven by Wisk hit the driver side mirror on the patrol vehicle, Township police reported.

The Ford Fusion continued to drive north on Tennent Road after the collision. Accatatta stopped the vehicle on Royal Court. An investigation revealed that Wisk was intoxicated. She was arrested, processed, issued four traffic summonses and released pending court.

The accident only resulted in minimal damage to both vehicles and no injuries.
