Project For 101 Affordable Apartments Get Initial Ok: Reports
The proposed development for Route 33 would include 101 affordable apartments.
MANALAPAN, NJ — The project for a housing complex with 101 apartments on Route 33 is one step closer to approval after the Manalapan Planning Board held a preliminary vote, with an 8-1 favorable result, according to the Asbury Park Press.
Titled The Place at Manalapan, the project is set to be built between Sawgrass Drive and Madison Avenue and has five apartment buildings and a clubhouse, with a total of 101 non-age-restricted affordable apartments, the online publication also wrote.
There was some debate about the number of parking spots, with some planners arguing that two spots per resident were not enough and that this issue might contribute to future parking problems in town, according to the same publication.
