Major Road To Be Closed In Manalapan Until Morning: Police

Taylors Mill Road was closed Tuesday night in Manalapan after utility pole falls from freezing temps, bringing down a second pole.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Taylor Mills Road was closed in both directions between Tennent Road and Route 9 for downed poles and wires, Manalapan police said, confirming the department's post on X.

Police said the closure is expected to last at least until Wednesday morning, and asked residents to plan an alternate route.

Police said one pole came down in what appeared to be a weather related incident, and that took down the other pole. It wasn't clear yet how the pole was affected by the cold, but police said any rotting of the wood could have cracked it in the freezing conditions.
