Please describe why this individual is a hero at your school.
Mrs. Fusella is a dedicated teacher to her students. She truly cares about the success of her students. She teaches first grade and relishes this role. If her students are ever in need of anything, she makes sure that her students get it. It could be her going out and buying extra school supplies or snacks for the kids. She spends numerous hours after school and on weekends preparing fun lessons for her class. Mrs. Fusella even started a letter writing program for the whole school. It gets all students and staff involved in the art of writing a letter. She has established a great rapport with all of her students and even close relationships with many of the parents. Roosevelt is a special place and Mrs. Fusella often refers to Roosevelt as “a second home”. Many students have come back to visit her many years after they have left Roosevelt.

Mrs. Fusella is an asset to the Roosevelt community. She began at RPS as a classroom aide. She then became a 4th grade teacher in the district where she lead Student Council. She then became The first grade teacher. A role that she shines in. Mrs. Fusella is incredibly dedicated to her students, parents, and community. She was diagnosed with cancer three years ago and one of her motivating factors in getting better was getting back to her classroom. She did that in a span of 6 months. My wife gives her all to her students and she loves them incredibly. This job was made for her.
