Route 9 Car Crash Seriously Injures Manalapan Man
A car accident Wednesday in Old bridge killed a 22-year-old Old Bridge man and seriously injured a Manalapan man, 29.
MANALAPAN, NJ — A Manalapan mas was seriously injured and an Old Bridge man died in a Route 9 crash in Old Bridge Wednesday morning, according to Old Bridge police.
The crash, at 6:24 a.m. Wednesday on Route 9 north near Phillips Drive, closed traffic in both directions of the road.
Police say Driton Guze, 22, of Old Bridge, was operating an Infiniti Q50 southbound on Route 9 when he lost control of his vehicle. The Infiniti crossed over the grass median and into the northbound lanes.

The Infiniti traveled directly into the path of a Chevy Silverado, driven by Michael Bravoco, 29, of Manalapan, police said.
The Silverado was unable to stop in time and collided with the Infiniti, police said. Guze succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in the Infiniti.

Bravoco suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.
