Work on the projects began over the summer after voters approved the district's $115.4 million bond referendum in November 2024.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Less than a year after voters approved the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District’s (MERS) $115.4 million bond referendum in November 2024, the district has been steadily implementing the first round of upgrades across its schools.
Since the district’s last update on projects planned for the summer, officials said significant progress has been made, with a majority of work focused on roofing, HVAC upgrades, paving, and exterior site improvements.
The summer season also marked a major milestone at Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School (MEMS) with a groundbreaking for the school’s new addition, which will help relocate the district’s administrative offices from 54 Main Street.
