As a summer heat wave continues to make its way through NJ, you can check out these local cooling centers and splash pads to stay cool:

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — As record-breaking temperatures soar throughout New Jersey, cooling centers and splash pads are open throughout Monmouth County for residents to check out and cool down.

As of Tuesday morning, Monmouth County remains under a heat advisory until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Forecasters are calling for sunny and hot conditions throughout Central Jersey on Tuesday, with a high nearing 100, and heat index values as high as 105. A chance of showers throughout the rest of the week may help bring temperatures down.
