Tennent Road Stretch Still Closed From Manalapan Storm Damage
Police expect Tennent Road in Manalapan to open by midnight on Thursday after a JCP&L utility pole came down in Wednesday night storm.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Town officials say Tennent Road is still partially closed as of 5 p.m. Thursday as repairs are made after damage from an intense storm on Wednesday night.
A JCP&L utility pole went down in the area in high winds Wednesday.
The area affected is Tennent Road by Town Pointe Center (Route 9) to Kensington Drive, police said on X (Twitter).

Councilwoman Susan Cohen said police told her they expect the road may open at midnight Thursday.
Cohen said more than 1,000 Manalapan residents were without power after an intense but short storm hit the area at about 8:30 pm. Wednesday - and then returned.

According to a JP&L online outage tracker, there are just 63 people without power as of 5 p.m. Thursday, although 1,400 were affected Wednesday night.
