2 Men Arrested After Manalapan Traffic Stop On Route 9
A Manalapan police officer, making a traffic stop, ended up arresting two men, one of whom was wanted by New Brunswick police.

MANALAPAN, NJ — A traffic stop July 8 resulted in two arrests by Manalapan police, the department reported on Tuesday.
At about 6 p.m. July 8, Patrolman Christopher Capuzzo stopped a car on Route 9 North for motor vehicle violations.
The driver of the car, identified as Noel Venancio-Morales, 39, of New Brunswick, was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and was given a summons and released, police said.

A passenger in the vehicle, Kevin Jimenez-Collado, 29, also of New Brunswick, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the New Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000, police said. He was also found to be wanted by the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office, according to Manalapan police.
The two men, both construction workers, were placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where they were processed.

Venancio-Morales was released on a summons, pending a future court date, police said.
Jimenez-Collado was transferred to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail, police said.
