2 Manalapan Filmmakers Selected For NJ Film Festival
The Garden State Film Festival will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 23.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Two Manalapan filmmakers will showcase their films at the 20th Garden State Film Festival in person from Mar. 23–27, according to the Garden State Film Festival.
"He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not", directed by Manalapan resident Amanda Katz, will screen on Mar. 27, 9:30 a.m. at the Jersey Shore Arts Center. Katz's film centers on a person's struggle with recognising and leaving a toxic relationship.
"Just Like You", directed by Manalapan resident Annie Fleisch, will also be shown at this year's festival on Mar. 27 at 2:30 p.m. in the Berkeley Hotel's Continental Room. "Just Like You", is about April, a girl who was inspired to join the navy by her grandfather, despite her mother's plans for her to join the family business. April will have to decide whether she wants to carry on her grandfather's legacy or help her family.

“We are extremely proud to present these local films as a part of our 20th Annual Film Festival, and to share this work with our global audience,” said Lauren Concar Sheehy, the festival’s Executive Director.
This year's selections will be presented in person in five venues in the Asbury Park area, with special events and screenings taking place each night. For showtimes and to see which films are screening in-person at which venue, visit the GSFF website.

Tickets for the festival range between $10 for a single film to $25 for ten films.
For the first time this year, all films will also be available online beginning the week following the festival.
