Manalapan Police reported incidents of vandalism, fraud, harassment and more from Nov. 5 through Nov. 11.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of vandalism, fraud, harassment and more from Nov. 5 through Nov. 11.

Nov. 5
Officers responded to the Clark Mills School in reference to vandalism near the school baseball field, where someone spray-painted a derogatory comment that was located near a baseball field in the back of the school. The spray paint was removed by school staff. Police did not specify what comment was spray-painted.

A 49-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they had been receiving harassing text messages and photos from people they did not know starting on Nov. 4.

Nov. 6
A 64-year-old Manalapan resident reported that people posing as T-Mobile representatives tried to take out a loan for $2,003.50 in the victim’s name. The victim’s bank has since disputed the transaction, and they’re at no monetary loss.

A 65-year-old Parsippany resident reported that an 87-year-old Manalapan resident assaulted them by twisting their hand. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 7
An 80-year-old Manalapan resident reported that their vehicle, described as a black 2012 Dodge Journey, was stolen at 5 a.m. on Nov. 5.

Nov. 9
A 75-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a ring was stolen from their home on Sept. 19. The total monetary loss at this time is about $3,000-$4,000. The matter is pending further investigation.

A 45-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone in their neighborhood is running after vehicles and trying to jump on the hood of moving cars as they drive by.

A 34-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they were receiving threatening text messages from a 50-year-old Union Beach resident.

Nov. 10
An 80-year-old Manalapan resident reported that their vehicle, described as a white 2012 Kia Sorento, was stolen along with their wallet during the overnight hours of Nov. 9. The matter is pending further investigation.

A 51-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they’ve been receiving harassing text messages from someone they know, beginning around two years ago.

A 39-year-old Manalapan resident reported that their trail camera had been shot with a pellet gun by someone they do not know. At this time, the reported damage is unknown.

A 57-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone obtained their EZPass, resulting in about $1,200 of unauthorized charges.

Nov. 11
A 24-year-old Manalapan resident reported fraud. A rental van was purchased using their name and identification. None of the victim’s bank information or cards was compromised. The victim is at no monetary loss at this time.
