Manalapan Police reported three incidents of fraud from April 16 through April 22.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported a vehicle fire, fraud, harassment and more from April 16 through April 22.
April 16
Around 5 p.m., Manalapan Township police officers responded to a report of a vehicle on fire.
Gordons Corner Fire Company successfully extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported as the vehicle was unoccupied. The circumstances surrounding the fire were determined to be non-suspicious.

April 17
A 76-year-old Manalapan resident reported $2,000 worth of property damage done to their lawn by an unknown person.
A 51-year-old Manalapan resident reported being defrauded out of $675 by a vehicle transport company.

April 18
A 34-year-old Freehold resident who works in Manalapan reported being harassed and threatened via text messages by someone they did not know.
A 68-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone they did not know harassed them over the phone and was trying to get them to send money. The victim is not at a monetary loss at this time.
A 76-year-old Manalapan resident reported a subject harassing and threatening them in the Wegmans parking area following a road rage incident. The victim was advised of the procedure to sign complaints.
April 19
A person was detained by Target Loss Prevention for attempting to shoplift $336.43 in merchandise from the store. The person fled before patrols arrived.
A 45-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they’re being harassed by their landlord.
April 21
Three people shoplifted various merchandise from Nordstrom Rack, resulting in a monetary loss of approximately $1,000.
A 48-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed by someone they know.
April 22
A 64-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone fraudulently used their credit card to make purchases in the amount of $985.
A 33-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone fraudulently used their credit card to buy airline tickets. The total loss by the victim at this time is $4,643.20.
