Watch: Monmouth County Fire Displaces Ten

The fire, which involved an apartment complex on Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright, displaced ten people Sunday night.

At least ten people have been displaced following a structure fire in Sea Bright late Sunday night, according to the Asbury Park Press.

The fire occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. on December 7 at the 1000 block of Ocean Avenue.

The fire is believed to have started on the second story, and was completely engulfed in flames when fire crews first arrived. It then spread to the first and third floors of the apartment structure, causing extensive damage.

Sea Breeze Wines and Spirits, located on the first floor also suffered extensive water and smoke damage.

Sea Bright Fire Stations 43 and 33, along with Engine 42 and Tower 17 were dispatched to the scene, according to the Sea Bright Fire Rescue Facebook page.

Units from Rumson, Monmouth Beach, and West Long Branch assisted Sea Bright fire crews on scene, as well as fire stations from Middletown, according to the Middletown NJ Fire/EMS News Page on Facebook.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Sea Bright Fire Marshal, the Sea Bright Police Department, the Monmouth County Fire Marshal, and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
