3 Injured In Belmar House Fire Saturday Night

One person was burned, and two firefighters injured in a serious house fire that occurred Saturday night in Belmar.

BELMAR, NJ — One person was burned, and two firefighters injured in a serious house fire that occurred Saturday night in Belmar, said police in that town.

The fire started at approximately 7:37 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at a home on the 500 block of 14th Avenue. The Belmar Fire Department, along with first responders from Belmar and surrounding towns, responded to the scene and put out the fire.

However, the initial home where the fire started and several neighboring homes were badly damaged as a result. Two firefighters were injured, and one resident sustained burn injuries.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office.
