
Shore Repertory Theatre Company’s production of “A Year With Frog & Toad” opens this Friday, March 16, at in Manasquan and will run for six performances across two weekends.
Based on the award-winning books by Arnold Lobel, “A Year With Frog and Toad” is a song-filled year in the life of the two charming woodland characters produced by Shore Repertory Theatre Company and supported by Barnabas Health, The Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center.
The play follows two best friends, Frog and Toad, as they awaken from hibernation and embark on adventures together: planting a garden, flying kites, sledding down a hill and swimming in a pond.

Joseph Ficarra of Point Pleasant and Sam Rosalsky of Berkeley Heights head up the cast as a perky Frog and a worrywart Toad, respectively. Brian Maguire of Toms River, Elizabeth Rzasa of Lawrenceville and Kimberly Susskind of Galloway all debut for the theatre company as the assorted colorful hopping, crawling and flying companions that Frog and Toad also call friends.
“A Year with Frog and Toad” is directed by Jan Topoleski and produced by Gina Lupi. Music direction is by Anthony Di Dia and choreography is by Victoria Lee. Both Di Dia and Lee reside in Toms River.

Performances are Fridays, March 16 & 23 at 7 p.m.; Saturdays, March 17 & 24 at 1 p.m.; and Sundays, March 18 & 25 at 3 p.m.
Tickets are on sale now at algonquinarts.org or by calling 732-528-9211. Adult tickets cost $27, seniors cost $25 and students & children are $18. Groups of 10 or more qualify for $20 adult/senior tickets and $15 student tickets. Individual tickets are subject to a $2 processing fee.
