Asbury Park Man Convicted Of Aggravated Sexual Assault On Girl, 11: Prosecutor
Didier Villagra, 37, went into the girl's bedroom one night and sexually assaulted her.

A Monmouth County jury has convicted an Asbury Park man of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child stemming from a 2014 incident when he attacked an 11-year-old girl, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.
Didier Villagra, 37, was convicted on June 7. Villagra is due for sentencing on Aug. 18, by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge David F. Bauman, he said.
The charges stem from an April 2014 incident in Asbury Park. Villagra, who lived in the girl's home, entered her bedroom and committed an act of sexual penetration on her, Gramiccioni said

The victim reported the incident to her mother the next morning. Asbury Park police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office's Special Victim's Bureau conducted an investigation. Villagra was arrested on April 6, 2014.
He faces up to 20 years in state prison for the aggravated sexual assault conviction and will have to serve at least 85 percent before he is eligible for parole. He faces between five to 10 years for the sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, Gramiccioni said

Villagra will also be required to register for Megan's Law and will be placed on parole for the rest of his life.
