Belmar Zoning Board To Hear Application for 24-Condo Building
The property would be built on the site of the Belmar Inn on 12th Avenue.

BELMAR, NJ – The borough of Belmar’s zoning board of adjustment will be holding a special meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m., where one of the applications that they will here is for a four-story building with 24 condominiums and parking on the current site of the Belmar Inn on 12th Avenue.
According to the application submitted, the proposed building will be on the hotel's site plus the property next door at 108 and 108 ½ 12th Avenue.
In 2018, Edelman Investment Group submitted a similar proposal on just the Belmar Inn property, but questions and concerns were raised about the lack of parking and the size of the proposed building compared to other homes in the neighborhood. Edelman then pulled the application before a vote could be cast.

With the acquisition of the neighboring property, Edelman reconfigured the application so that the proposed building would have 47 ground level-parking spots, all configured for electric vehicle charging plus two on-street public charging stations.
Tonight’s meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the courtroom at borough hall.
