Coastal Monmouth Beach Report For June 14, 2017
Skies will be cloudy this morning, turning sunny by mid-afternoon. There's a low risk of rip currents today.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly cloudy skies, becoming mostly sunny by around 3 p.m. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible.
Locally heavy rain is expected in southeast New Jersey and move off the Jersey Shore around 12:30 p.m. Locally heavy rain with wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 30 miles per hour. Isolated storms are possible.
Highs will be in the mid-70s, so we finally get a break from the sweltering temperatures earlier week. Winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Waves will be around three feet today, with southerly swells of two feet. The water temperature is 65 degrees.
There's a low risk of rip currents, but they can still occur around jetties and other structures. Always swim on a guarded beach and never alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you when going in the water.
The ultraviolet index is a 10, which the NWS considering very high.

High tide at Belmar will roll in at 11:24 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 5:02 p.m., followed by another high tide at 11:26 p.m.
