Rough surf, cloudy skies, showers and thunderstorms are likely.

The National Weather Service is calling for cloudy skies, with showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms for today. Not a great beach day.
The high for today will be around 70 degrees, with southwest winds around 10 miles per hour. The lightning threat is high.
Waves will be considerably higher than yesterday, at 4 feet, with southerly swells around 3 feet. The surf temperature is still a chilly 60 degrees. There's a low risk of rip currents, but rips are still possible, especially around jetties and other structures. The NWS suggests you always bring a flotation device with you in the water.

High tide at Belmar was at 4:58 a.m. Low tide will arrive at at 11:09 a.m., followed by another high tide at 5:32 p.m.
