Coastal Monmouth County Beach Report For May 30, 2017
Cloudy skies, high surf, the rip current risk increases for today.

The National Weather Service is calling for a cloudy beach day in Monmouth County, with a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms.
The air temperature will hit the mid-60s at best. Winds will be from the southeast at 10 miles per hour. The lightning threat is moderate, which means that thunderstorms are possible.
There's a moderate risk of rip currents today, which means swimmers planning to go in the water should check with local beach patrols today. Always swim within sight of a lifeguard, never swim alone or at night and bring a floatation device with you.

The ultraviolet index is a 7, which the NWS considers high. The surf temperature is still chilly at 59 degrees.
High tide at Belmar will arrive at 12:09 p.m., followed by a low tide at 5:56 p.m.
