Eric LeGrand Will Be In Manasquan Saturday, Promoting New Bourbon Line
This Saturday, Feb. 11 Rutgers' football alum Eric LeGrand will be at Spirit of '76 Liquors, promoting his new line of bourbon whiskey.

MANASQUAN, NJ — This Saturday, Feb. 11 Rutgers' football alum Eric LeGrand will be in Manasquan, promoting his new line of bourbon whiskey.
LeGrand will be at Spirit of '76 Wines & Liquors on Taylor Avenue from 2-4 p.m. Saturday. LeGrand already has a beer line and last year opened a coffeehouse in Woodbridge, but this is his first foray into the spirits world.
Come try his new bourbon whiskey this Saturday at Spirit of '76 and meet LeGrand. $5.20 of every case of his whiskey sold will be donated to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

LeGrand is the Rutgers football player who suffered a hard tackle in a 2010 game that resulted in a spinal cord injury and left him unable to walk. He is now paralyzed and uses a wheelchair. His injury spread awareness about the dangers of football and brain and spinal cord injuries.
As the Manasquan community well knows, local teen Aaron Van Trease was seriously in a football game at his high school, St. John Vianney in Holmdel, in September. He also suffered a spinal cord injury.

However, LeGrand did not give up or sink into a depression after he lost the ability to walk and he is now a motivational speaker who often appears in New Jersey schools. LeGrand serves as a model to others about not giving up when life deals you setbacks.
LeGrand is from the blue-collar Avenel section of Woodbridge, and he last year he opened a coffee shop just steps from the Woodbridge train station. Last year, LeGrand also launched a beer line, partnering with Bolero Snort Brewery in Carlstadt to create Bullieve, a coffee blonde ale made with LeGrand Coffee House's signature Costa Rican beans.
