Man Found Shot On Asbury Park Street Dies On Way To Hospital

Police, Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office looking for killer.

FREEHOLD –A 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds found lying on the ground on an Asbury Park Street died on the way to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.

Asbury Park police who responded to a 911 call at 8:02 p.m. on Dec. 2 discovered Dexter Dunston in the area of 707 3rd Avenue. Dunston was taken to Jersey Shore, but died before he arrived at 8:17 p.m. Gramiccioni said.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and Asbury Park police immediately began an investigation into the killing. The investigation is active and ongoing, he said.
