Manasquan Issues Coronavirus Reminder On Closed Parks, Toilet Use
Borough officials are reminding people that parks are closed, and they're warning all to be careful about what's flushed down the toilet.

MANASQUAN – Borough officials have issued an update on the coronavirus outbreak, reminding people that local parks are closed and to be careful about what's flushed down the toilet.
As of Wednesday, 24 coronavirus cases were identified in Manasquan. All schools are closed.
Manasquan officials have asked people to not flush anything other than toilet paper into the sanitary sewer system. There should be no toilet flushing of items such as discarded gloves, masks or wipes into the sewer system, officials said.

"Such improper discharge of these items into the sewer system is strictly prohibited and causes blockage to the system that can be very costly to the borough and the homeowner," the town said.

- If you are suspected, presumed or confirmed positive or under home quarantine, you must remain home until your quarantine has been lifted, or you have been cleared of the virus and you're no longer infectious.
- If a customer refuses to wear a cloth face covering for non-medical reasons and if such covering cannot be provided to the individual by the business at the point of entry, then the business must decline entry to the individual.
- Municipal parks and playgrounds remain closed until further notice in conformance with Gov. Phil Murphy's Executive Order #118. This includes the walkways along the beach and inlet since those areas are not large enough to permit use by many people without engaging in close contact. Access to the beach is limited to Ocean Avenue, Main Street and Whiting Avenue.
- Parking in beach lots and along the inlet has been restricted in order to reduce exposure to residents and public safety personnel until further notice.

- Protect the health of our sanitation crews and please dispose of all trash in sealed (tied tightly) trash bags.
