Manasquan Meeting On Main Street Business District Streetscapes
The Manasquan Borough Council will hold a virtual public meeting to discuss business district streetscapes improvements.
MANASQUAN – The Manasquan Borough Council will hold a virtual public meeting to discuss business district streetscapes improvements on July 13th from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The Main Street Business District Streetscapes Project is a beautification, revitalization and safety improvement project that extends along Highway 71 from Abe Vorhees Drive north to the northern terminus of the Acme parking lot, and on Main Street from the intersection of Highway 71 east to the NJ Transit railway.
The project will include upgrades to traffic lighting, signage, pedestrian crosswalks, sidewalks, lighting, benches, bicycle racks, trash cans and other appurtenant features as well as landscaping and vegetation.

Funding:
- $1 million of the federal DOT Transportation Alternatives Project funding has been secured by the borough for the project

- The project is in the preliminary design stage. The Manasquan Citizens Advisory Committee has formed a working subgroup that is assigned to the project and will be working with the design team.
- Preliminary engineering & design is underway, with construction expected in late 2021 (funding & permit dependent).
