Manasquan To Open Up Several Parks

Manasquan officials say they're opening parks in accordance with Gov. Phil Murphy's Executive Order 133.

MANASQUAN – Manasquan officials say they're opening parks in accordance with Gov. Phil Murphy’s Executive Order 133.

Manasquan will be opening the following parks on Saturday, May 2nd:

  • Edgar Felix Bike Path
  • Mac’s Pond
  • Hancock Park
  • Eagle Park
  • Tassini Park
  • Hemphill Sanctuary
  • Donovan Marina
  • 4th Avenue Docks, Canoe and Kayak Launch
  • Stockton Beach Park - Closed except for canoe and kayak launch. No skateboard park, in-line hockey or baseball of any kind.

The following directives will be enforced at all open municipal parks:

  1. No organized or contact activities or sports permitted;
  2. No picnicking permitted, including on picnic blankets in signed picnic areas, and no picnic blankets, chairs, coolers, and other such personal property shall be carried into any municipal park;
  3. Consistent with Paragraph 5 of Executive Order No. 107, gatherings of individuals in excess of 10 persons, including in parks, are prohibited;
  4. Consistent with Paragraph 3 of Executive Order No. 107, visitors must practice social distancing and stay six feet apart whenever practicable, excluding immediate family members, caretakers, household members, or romantic partners;
  5. Visitors should wear cloth face coverings while in all settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, except where doing so would inhibit that individual’s health or where the individual is under two years of age.

The following parks will remain closed as they are designed for activities that are strictly prohibited:

  • Curtis Park
  • Mallard Park
  • Skokus Park
  • Indian Hill Park
