Also: A shout out to the staff working behind the scenes:

Manasquan has a dedicated team working early each morning to late at night daily since we declared a State of Emergency on March 13th. This team is made up of emergency managers, police, fire and first aid chiefs and supervisors, public works, construction, administrative staff, as well as elected officials and volunteers. From the outset, our primary objectives have remained the same:
  • Protect the safety and welfare of the public
  • Reduce the inundation of our regional healthcare system
  • Protect our first responders and adapt operations in order to preserve our ability to respond to emergencies
  • Ensure continuity of essential government and public safety operations through having a dynamic response plan that adapts to changing conditions
  • Provide reliable, honest and transparent communications and guidance to the public
This dedicated group of professionals are making sure that essential functions continue no matter how severely we are impacted. This includes that clean fresh water flows when you turn your faucet on, trash is collected, the sewer system doesn't back up, the fire is extinguished, the public is protected and order maintained, and the call for medical assistance is properly attended to. This is no easy lift, with the restrictions on travel and social distancing, impacts of the virus itself as well as lack of critical protective equipment and supplies. We want you to know that the above stated objectives are what has and will continue to guide us as we progress through these challenging times and eventually return to normal life.
