
The Manasquan school district will try for a third time to pass a $12 million building referendum on Jan. 24, according to the Coast Star.
Poll hours for the special election on improvements at Manasquan High School and Manasquan Elementary School will be from noon until 8 p.m.
The polls for those who live in Manasquan District One will be at the Manasquan First Aid Building bay area, 65 Broad St. Voters who live in District Two will vote at Manasquan Hook and Ladder Co. No. 1, 33 Abe Voorhees Drive. District Three voters will vote at Manasquan Borough Hall, 201 East. Main Street., and District Four voters will vote at Manasquan Volunteer Engine No. 2, 111 Parker Ave.

School officials have has proposed improvements, alterations and renovations to both the high school and elementary school and an addition to the high school for new science facilities.
The total project will cost approximately $12 million, and with $3.7 million coming from the state's Educational Facilities Construction and Financing Act [EFCFA]. That would bring the local share of the project to $8.2 million. This last time the district went out for a referendum was January 2016, when voters rejected a $19.9 million package.
